MacReach Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
MacReach is designed as a local-first remote viewer/controller. MacReach Local connects your iPhone or iPad to your Mac on the same local network. We keep data collection limited to what is needed to provide the app, licensing, billing, support, and security.
What MacReach Local does
- The Mac helper captures your Mac screen only after macOS Screen Recording permission is granted.
- The Mac helper uses Accessibility and Input Monitoring only to perform remote pointer, keyboard, scroll, and shortcut actions you request.
- The Mac helper sends screen frames and input events over your local network to your paired iPhone or iPad.
- Local remote sessions are not routed through MacReach cloud servers in the Local product.
Information we may collect
- Email address and Stripe customer/payment identifiers for purchases, receipts, refunds, and support.
- License and activation records, such as license status, activation count, helper install ID, app version, macOS version, and an activation fingerprint hash.
- Basic server logs for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and reliability.
- Support messages you send us.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. MacReach does not store full credit card numbers. Stripe may collect and process payment information under its own privacy policy.
What we do not sell or track
MacReach does not sell personal data and does not track you across apps or websites. We do not use your Mac screen contents for advertising. MacReach Local does not upload your remote session video to our servers.
Future remote access
If MacReach Pro Remote launches, it may use cloud relay infrastructure to help you connect away from your local network. That feature will have additional privacy and security details before launch.
